Direction of Use
- Preparation: Ensure the substrates are clean, dry, and free of contaminants like oil, grease, and dust. Clean surfaces with a solvent if necessary.
- Application Temperature: Set the recommended application temperature range between 150°C to 180°C.
- Equipment Compatibility: Use with standard wheel and nozzle applicators, T dies, extruders, gear and piston pumps, and electronic and pneumatic nozzles.
- Application Process:
- Adjust temperature to regulate viscosity, delivery rate, pot life, and open time.
- Apply adhesive to the more difficult-to-bond surface first (usually hard, smooth surfaces).
- Maintain the recommended application temperature and regularly check thermostats.
- Do not exceed 200°C to avoid thermal degradation.
- Cleaning: Clean the application equipment thoroughly when changing products, using HOTMELT CLEANER if necessary.
Precautions
- Protective Measures: Wear appropriate protective clothing and eye protection to prevent burns from hot adhesive.
- First Aid: In case of skin contact with hot adhesive, flush the affected area with large amounts of cold water. Do not attempt to remove solidified hot melt and seek medical attention immediately.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry location with the container tightly closed when not in use to ensure a shelf life of at least 12 months.
- Health & Safety: No health hazards are expected in solid form, but melted adhesive can cause severe burns. Refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet for more information.
